Formed in Canada during the fall of 2007, Tempest is a five-piece band from Vancouver, British Columbia that combines elements of hardcore, crust, and post-metal into a cathartic wall of thunderous riffs and searing vocals. The band's relentless brand of dark hardcore is driven by the issues of animal rights, overpopulation, and religion to create a truly claustrophobic, exhausting, and terrifying musical experience.

Five-piece band from Münster, Bielefeld, Dortmund and Oldenburg was found in the current Line Up in September 2010. Beside a couple of shows we did in the following winter our first recordings, which can be found on our first and selftitled LP. A Tapeversion will follow.
The band is placed in the diy-scene and that for some reasons. None of us can identify with the approaches and strategies of the modern and commercial musicbusiness. We still believe that the diy-musicscene is a place where we can avoid and fight racsim, sexism, homophobia and the cutting of an open minded lifestyle.

The music is kind of folk-punk in the traditon of bands like Defiance, Ohio , the early Against me! or Rosa. But in some ways it's much more darker and in that way very intense. The lyrics reflect the position of an individual in an world dominated by capitalism, alienation and repressive structures. It's also about friendship, disappointment, ... from a radical subjective position.
