DEATHSTRIKE "Fucking death" LP (kant A) is het beste wat Speckman ooit heeft gedaan. KANT A bestaat uit de 4-song demo "Fuckin' death" uit 1985. Te gek spul...Rauw, loodzwaar, geniale basdrum en prachtstem. Productie is echt zoals het moet. RAUW en KRACHTIG, geen klote technisch gefoefel in de studio. Op kant B van deze LP staan opnames uit 1990 (uiteraard minder dan deze uit 1985). Speckman had begin jaren 90 een deal met NUCLEAR BLAST voor 8 LP's, maar dat liep niet goed. Daarom heeft hij oa. die 1985 demo + nog wat vlug opgenomen nrtjes op deze LP gezet om vlug van het contract met NB af te zijn.
Goed voor ons, want die FUCKING DEATH demo is ??n van de beste dingen die er zijn. En op vinyl klinkt het nog beter.
Eerste band van SPECKMAN was (geloof ik) WARCRY..... Die hebben in 1982 met een nr op de fameuze METAL MASSACRE verzamel LP series gestaan. FUNERAL BITCH is pas veel later.
Kortom, HAAL DIE FUCKING DEATH LP IN HUIS. Van kant A zult ge zeker en vast geen spijt krijgen. DEATHSTRIKE = totaal ondergewaardeerd.

Klopt idd,WARCRY was de eerste band van heer Speckman zij hebben behalve dat nummer op die verzamel l.p nog twee demo's geproduceerd;
- Trilogy Of Terror '83 demo en demo'84......

Appeared on the Metal Massacre 4 sampler with a song called "Forbidden Evil". War Cry was offered a deal with Slagel and Metal Blade but nothing happened. Speckmann and Schmidt left around '84 to form Death Strike then Master (US) in '85.

Fijn, die hele berg aan info over Master en aanverwante zaken. Gelijk weer even die 1ste officiele Master LP opgezet eerder vandaag, maar het haalt het niet echt bij Deathstrike. Dat album van Master uit 1985 komt dan wel heel dicht in de buurt.

Death Metal legend PAUL SPECKMANN will release his musical biography, "Masterpieces", through Twilight Distribution on August 15th. Material included on the release will be pulled from the first two MASTER albums (1990's "Master" and 1991's "On The 7th Day God Created... Master"), the first two ABOMINATION records (1989's "Abomination", 1991's "Tragedy Strikes"), as well as tracks from DEATHSTRIKE, SOLUTIONS, SPECKMANN PROJECT and two tracks from the new MASTER demo.
